Headaches can be a huge issue, and it can be hard to fend them off. Whether it’s a headache from Vitamin D or another type of headache, you need to be sure that you can get what you need to take care of everything. Here are some of the things you can do to make most types of headaches better.
Heat or Cold
Cold or hot compresses can help to relieve the pressure in your head which, in turn, reduces the amount of pain. Which should you use? It depends on where the headache seems to be sitting and what your body responds to best it’s different for everyone, so you may have to try both.
Sit in a Dark Space or Take a Nap
Sometimes, light can make headaches worse. So, if you dim or darken the lights, you’ll find that your headache subsides a little bit. If it’s really painful, you may be better off just taking a nap and trying to sleep it off.
Hydrate or Get Caffeine in You
Headaches can also come from a lack of hydration and/or caffeine. If you drink a lot of caffeine and you haven’t had much, you may want to consider grabbing a soda, cup of coffee, or cup of tea. But, be sure that you’re hydrating yourself with water as well, so that your body can go through its processes more readily and your headache goes away more quickly.
Taking care of a headache as soon as you can is always helpful. Stay on top of it and be sure that you’re doing the best that you can in order to care for your body. In the end, you will find that you have fewer headaches and/or they last a shorter period of time.
